Welcome to dog eared magazine, a journal of book arts. We want to bring creativity and inspirational instruction to anyone who wants to make art books, whether you are an artist who loves the idea of creating art in a book form, a teacher trying to get students interested in SOMETHING, or an avid journaler who needs to make his or her own perfect journal. dog eared magazine covers techniques of traditional and contemporary bookbinding while keeping a careful eye on the content and purpose of an artist's book. Our focus very concrete- we'll play with books of all kinds, but won't stray too far from the subject of BOOKS.

What's the status of Issue 17?

We're currently working on Issue 17, but we don't have a firm publishing date at this time. Please have no fear, though! We will be honoring ALL subscriptions, and have NOT ceased publishing.

How can you help? Let your friends know that we're still publishing, and that we're hard at work on Issue 17. Plus, if you're interested in submitting art work or articles, we'd love to take a look and see if we can use your work in an upcoming issue.
